BRUNNER, Russian-German immigrants to Marion county KS
Posted by: Bryanna Olson (ID *****5880) Date: April 01, 2009 at 15:59:55
  of 1082

Started working onn my cousin's maternal line. Henry and Sadie BRUNNER immigrated about 1909 directly to Kansas. I pick them up in the 1910 census through the 1930 census including the Kansas census records of 1915/25. They are always listed in Marion or neighboring Dickinson county KS.
Henry is listed in the first 2 census records as Fred then both he and son's name settles onto Henry which they were known by. (The younger's full name is Henry Frederick and was refered to as Henry jr in one census)
Henry BRUNNER born 2 Jan 1867 in Volva area of Russia and died 4 Aug 1945 in Marion county KS and is buried in (neighboring county) Herington, Dickinson, KS cemetery.
List of all children
Katie         born in Russia
Henry         born in Russia ( Fred in early census records)
Mary         born in Russia
Molly        born in Russia
Lydia        born in Kansas
Jacob born in Kansas
Hannah born in Kansas
Frieda born in Kansas

There is another (George) Henry BRUNNER and wife Eva in the county who I suspect are related. They immigrated in the 1880's.
Looking to determine exactly where in the Volga reigon the family came from and the relationship with the other BRUNNER families in the area.
Thank You
