Brenna & Travis,

Why not try the Regional part of this forum & click on "Germany" & post a query there too.

My Great Grandfather John Brunner,Sr (born in 1853) left a younger brother "Alois" in Aesch, Luzern, Switzerland, when he came to the USA.

It must have been a very popular "BRUNNER" name until WWII.

Is your said "Alois" the infamous one?
Just curious! As there is a lot of info online about him....It is said, he escaped to Switzerland at the last & SO... I often wonder if he was kin to Alois Brunner :>)

Regards,
Carole
