I am researching Wellers and came across a "next door" neighbour who had Weller's living with them.
In the 1881 census for High Halden, Kent (living at Further Quarter) were:
Louis Weller, 36, Brede, Sussex
Fanny Campbell Weller, 28, Biddenden, Kent
John T Weller, 12, Bethersden, Kent
George H Weller, 10, Bethersden, Kent
Ernest J Weller, 1, High Halden, Kent
Herbert E Weller, 6m, High Halden, Kent
George and John were the sons of Mary LINDRIDGE but I haven't yet found out her details nor her marriage to Louis. From this census it indicates that Louis remarried maybe around 1879/80. I have yet to track down Louis and Fanny.
Living "next door" again Further Quarter were the following:
William A Brunger, 34, Biddenden, Kent
Jane E Brunger, 27, High Halden, Kent
Albert E Brunger, 6, High Halden, Kent
Alice K Brunger, 3, High Halden, Kent
George A Brunger, 10m, High Halden, Kent
Sarah WELLER, 55, Brede, Sussex
Anne M Weller, 11, High Halden, Kent
Sarah Weller's relationship is Mother in Law, Anne M Weller's relationship is Sister in Law.
I am wondering whether Sarah is Louis's mother and Anne M his daughter who for some reason was living with the Brungers. Would Jane E Brunger be Jane Weller, sister of Lewis?
Any thoughts would be welcome.
