Thanks for the encouragement!
Your inf. is very interesting, and very well could tie in with mine, but unfortunately, I don't have any siblings or enough details for my BRUNET ancestors, so I'm unable to connect with anyone for certain, yet.
Oddly enough, I also have a Pierre LeMier ancestor on another branch, who was in Canada (b abt 1705 in Paris, France)... does this ring a bell with you?
I descend from one of his sons that migrated to LA, and began using MIRE, but my most recent ancestors on this line used MIER.
