Barbara,
You are right up to Gédéon. His parents are Ferdinand Brunet and Esther Sauvé, married in Ste-Geneviève de Pierrefonds, Qc on Nov 23, 1840.
Gédéon was born on feb 14, 1846
in Ile Bizard,(next to Pierrefons)
Then you have Jacques Brunet and Josephte Martin, married in 1808 with 19 children....and another 6 ancestor before reaching Michel-Mathieu Brunet dit Letang who is the first Canadian ancestor, married in 1666.
