Frank John BRUNETT or BRUNETTE was born 24 April 1835 in Alsace-Lorraine. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1869. By 1876, he was a property owner in New Baden, Robertson County, Texas. Around 1886, he married Annie Marie (BERSCH) (BENNDORF). Annie was born 7 February 1862 in Louisiana and died in Robertson County on 29 January 1905. Frank died in Robertson County on 26 February 1919. After their marriage, Frank and Annie stayed in Robertson County to farm and raised a family of seven children (Phillip Davis, Louis, William, Annie, Albert Otto, Emma Elizabeth, & Rosa Barbara Gertrude). The family attended the Evangelical Lutheran Church that existed in New Baden from the mid-1880s until World War I.
