I too am searching for Brunett ancestors from Alsace-Lorraine. My ggrandfather Frank John Brunette was born in Alsace-Lorraine on 24 April 1835. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1869. By 1876, he was a property owner in New Baden, Robertson County, Texas. He died in Texas on 26 February 1919.

Aside from Frank, the only other Brunett I have been able to locate in Robertson County in the early 1880s was a Gustave Brunette. He married Alamanda Szolander on 4 October 1882. I don't know if this is your Gustave. Gustave & Frank had to have been related. Gustave must have been Frank's brother, son, or cousin. I don't know. Hope this helps.

My e-mail address is brunette@usablenews.com.
