I too am searching for Brunett ancestors from Alsace-Lorraine.My ggrandfather Frank John Brunette was born in Alsace-Lorraine on 24 April 1835.He immigrated to the U.S. in 1869.By 1876, he was a property owner in New Baden, Robertson County, Texas. He died in Texas on 26 February 1919.
Aside from Frank, the only other Brunett I have been able to locate in Robertson County in the early 1880s was a Gustave Brunette. He married Alamanda Szolander on 4 October 1882.I don't know if this is your Gustave.Gustave & Frank had to have been related.Gustave must have been Frank's brother, son, or cousin.I don't know.Hope this helps.
