Looking for any information on the family of
Nanette Brunette Fairbanks born 1832 either in Minnesota or Montreal, Canada. Father believed to
have been Francois Brunette aka
Jospeh Brunette born in Saulte Saint Marie,
Michigan. Mother name was Josette who was an
Ojibwe Indian born in the Selkirk Colony in
Canada. In 1850-1851 she married William N.
Fairbanks and raised Lucy Fairbanks my Gr. Gr. Grandmother, her sister Nancy and Cybel,
and brother Charles Ephraim. They lived in
several counties in Minnesota between 1852-1862. They removed from Minnesota in
1863 to Michigan City, Indiana. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
