Frank, I can't believe someone replied to a 10 yr old message and that I actually received it. I'm not a descendant of Vincent and Emma. My line goes through Emma's youngest brother, Maxime. I have filled out my family tree quite a bit in the last ten years.
I've worked hard at trying to find out as much as possible on Eulalie's ancestors (she's my great great grandmother) but information and records on blacks seems to have been less diligently recorded than whites. I have the names of her parents and grandparents but nothing before that. Someday I would love to know where Pierre/Peter Thompson came from.
If you have any information on the family I'd be glad to hear it. I will look to see if your email address is recorded on this site and I will email the picture to you. I also have a picture of Adele (Clement) Toupin's family from about 1917. She was another sister of Maxime and Emma. I will see if I can find that.
Eulalie and her children did come to the USA c1870. I was aware that they spent some short periods back in Canada, but mainly lived in Woonsocket from 1870 forward.
Are you somehow related to this family?
