Kelly; have you tried sending your query to this address:
[email protected]. I'm not sure if you have come upon this persons queries in the genforum, very similar to your own and may have some answers for you.Give it a try.I willkeep looking from my end.The Red River Settlement was an area of Manitoba, south and west of Winipeg Manitoba, which was part of the homeland of the traditional Metis peoples of that particular site. The Metis homeland was much more vast, but there was a large settlement in Red River Mb.My Bruneau lines stem from Quebec, but settled in the RRS and traveled between Manitoba as far west as Alberta and south into the Dakotas and Montana.I understand there were two distinct Bruneau Families that came out of Quebec.
