The Joel H. 'Joseph' Brumfield I am looking for was born c 1834 Ky as I mentioned. At least thats what I gather from later census records. Census were notorious for having alot of wrong info....
Anyhow Joel ended up in Missouri for whatever reason. He married Nancy Cook in Boone Co, 1857.
Children I am aware of Willliam, Joycy, James, and Robert.
Lived there according to 1860 and 1870 census's...Found him in TExas 1880....after that he disappears.
I have run into several Joel Brumfields but so far none of them are this one.
Its amazing to find so many with the same name.....I am about at the conclusion that he might not have been born in KY... But without a clue as to his parents por siblings, its hard to know where to go. He is my brick wall for about 6 years now, so any help appreciated no matter how 'off' it might sound. Its worth a try.
