Sorry Theresa, I may have things a little mixed up here. I figured George F and Mary (Herod) were the George F and Mary later indicated to be in Mississippi Co, Missouri.
However, if George's mother is Cynthia Monday then he is apparently not the son of William and Cynthia Brumfield of Hardin Co, Kentucky. Cynthia Mundy married 6 Sept 1849 John M Brumfield in Marion Co, Indiana. This would explain the problem with the age and place of birth shown on the census records. John was a son of James and probably his second wife, Hannah Daugherty. James is another son of Richard and Polly (Pyburn) Brumfield. However I'm also not certain John is the son of this James. Their was another James in Bartholomew Co, Indiana at the same time, apparently the son of Job and Elizabeth (Latimore) Brumfield. I haven't found definite information on either of these James families so children listed for one may belong to the other. As you can see there are many complexities sorting out the family. If you get better information let me know.
