I am searching for my great-grandmother. Her name is a derivation of Roxie Ann McCune (Rox Anne, Roxanne, etc.). She was born about 7 Feb 1875 in Franklin County, VA. Her father was John McCune and she married Edward Johnson Brumfield 7 Nov 1894 in Virginia. She gave birth to two daughters and two sons--first daughter born 1896 in Pittsylvania County, VA. Last child (a son) born in Salem, VA 1904. She disappeared shortly after that. I did find a Roxie Brumfield in the 1920 census that listed her residence as East River, Mercer Co, West Virginia. She was listed as a boarder with the J.W. and Mary Thompson family.
The John McCune family moved possibly to Pike Missouri, but when Roxie married Edward Brumfield, they were in Virginia. Thanks for any leads you might have.
