After many years of searching, I have possibly located my elusive MILLARD OTIS BRUMFIELD born May 10, 1907 WV. Very much confusion with the other - son of Henry Clay Brumfield.
He appears as OTIS BRUMFIELD on the 1930 Census in Union, Wayne Co., WV; age 22, WV, son of JAMIE (James?)BRUMFIELD, age 61 (1868), born WV, widowed; also daughter, PAULINE, age 20 (1909) and son, HENDERSON, age 17 (1912).
I have been unable to locate this group anywhere in the 1920 or 1910 Census. However, I did find a newspaper reference for the following:
Charleston Daily Mail Sep. 6, 1940: "Daughter born to Mr. and Mrs. Henderson Brumfield of 1104 Garvin Avenue Saturday (which would have been Aug. 31, 1940)in the Charles General Hospital."
Would love to hear from anyone with any info on this family or possible ties to the family of HENRY CLAY BRUMFIELD. There appear to be many correlations in dates and names that infer some type of connection.
