Hi Harold, Are you related to William Pine Smith,(he was my great great grandfather. His daughter, Elizabeth Betty Smith, b 1852 d 1901 Carter Co. KY. and Gordon Lafayette McCormick b14 Aug 1842 Lawrence Co. Ky were my great grandparents. On the Brumfield side, it's Lucinda Brumfield b 1812 in VA d 1894 in Rooney, Carter Co., KY md William McCormack b 1910 Bedford Co. VA., Micajah Brumfield(Lucy's father) md. Eleanor Clay b. abt. 1787 VA. They were md. in 15 Feb 1802 Tazewell Co.,VA.> James Brumfield 111 b abt 1730 d 1793 in Giles Co., VA. md. Mary? > James 11 md. Elizabeth Watson >James 1 Brumfield b abt 1647 m Patience (Peshee) Sutton b 1651 Europe. Can anyone give me help on my ancestors? I have very little on the Clays and Smiths. It seems there could be some Brumfields missing in my line. Thanks, hope to hear from some relatives, M. Lorraine Rodgers ps Do you know anything about having Native American in this family?
