I can give you little on the whereabouts of Major's daughters but can give you some idea where the male descendants settled. Nancy married Thomas Linthecum and nothing more is known of them. Sarah/Eda married William Martin - their son Reuben went to Kentucky in 1823 and then to McDonough Co, Illinois in 1845. Sarah's son, Ezekiel was in Greenup Co, Kentucky in 1850.
Major's son,William, is in Pittsylvania Co, Virginia as late as 1821 but by 1840 is found in Bradley Co, Tennessee. His son, Isaac, appears to have remained in Pittsylvania Co, Virginia. His son, William Butler is in Bradley Co in 1840 but is found in McMinn Co, Tennessee thereafter. His daughter Oney died in Webster Co, Missouri. His son, James, went to Botetourt Co, Virginia. His son, Meady, was in McMinn Co, Tn in 1830 and Bradley Co in 1840. His daughter, Elizabeth, married Thomas W Beckett and they were in McMinn Co, Tn in 1850 but she may have died in Madison Co, Arkansas where her husband is buried.
Major's son, Joseph, was in Halifax Co, Va in 1782, in Pittsylvaina Co, Va in 1806 and in Bedford Co, Ten in 1812. He died in Hart Co, Ky. All of his children other than Joel appear to have settled in Bedford Co, Tn. Joel was in Hart Co, Kentucky and appears to have arrived there around 1811.
Major's son, Elisha, was in Campbell Co, Virginia in 1800, in Davidson Co, Ten by 1811 and Williamson Co, Tn by 1815.
Elisha's daughters were all married in Rutherford Co, Tn.
Major's son, James, appears to have lived in Campbell and Pittsylvania Cos, Va until 1832 when he moved to Todd Co, Ky.
Major's son, Humphrey, appears to have been in Carter Co, Ten by 1820 and in Greene Co, Tn by 1840.
Major's son, Joshua, died in 1814 in the War of 1812. His son Thomas went to Fayette Co, Illinos. His son Eproditus went to Madison Co, Indiana.
Major's daughter, Mary, married William Gresham and nothing more is known of them.
I would appreciate anything you can give me on Jerusha's line to include in my records.
