I was mistaken on my earlier post for which I greatly apologize. The information I have on this line of Brumfields goes as far back as the James Brumfield (b.England-1647) marriage to Patience Sutten (b. 1651), not 1500's as I had previously stated. The reference to 1500's came from my Frye family information, my ggrandmother being Fannie Frye who married William Ancil Brumfield.
I am attempting to put the Brumfield info I have into Family Tree Maker as it is all handwritten and was researched the "old-fashioned" way without internet assistance. (Now that's dedication-thank you, Uncle Guy!)
