I have recently discovered that the above couple were ancestors of my granddaughter, and I'd love to know more about them. They were the parents of Calley Brumbelow, born Apr 1879, who married James Lee ALLISON. Calley and Jim Allison were in Milam Co., TX when the 1900 census was taken. I would love to know what A. L. stands for and who his parents were. He indicated in the 1880 Navarro Co., TX census that he was from AR. He and Alice B. PACE married 23 Jun 1874 in Grimes Co., TX. He may have had a brother, William, as William Brumbelow married Mary E. WOOTEN 18 Jun 1874 in Grimes Co., TX.
Sally B. Pace was the daughter of Elizabeth Jane and Bryant PACE, all from GA. Bryant was in the Confederate army, and Elizabeth Jane filed for a pension. Elizabeth Jane Pace was living with son, James N. Pace, when the 1880 Grimes Co., TX census was taken, and in 1900 she was living with daughter, Sally B. Brumbelow in Grimes Co., TX, and they were both widows.
Sally B. Pace and A. L. Brumbelow had two other daughters, Lou Ella, born Sep 1881, and Hattie D., born May 1884. I don't know what happened to Lou Ella, but Sally was living with daughter, Hattie D. and her husband, Dudley E. Bradshaw in 1910 Runnels Co., TX and in 1920 Torrence Co., NM.
