Diane,
Thanks for you follow up message.Joel's father was Edward (I believe) from Gwinnett or Forsyth County, Georgia.Joel's children were Nancy born 1847, Joseph Soloman (my ggrandfather) born 1852 in Cherokee County, Alabama and according to census records, George born around 1865.Their mother was Nancy Sneed from NC.Joel later married Susan Mayfield in 1873 in Decatur, Morgan County, Alabama.I believe there were two or three children from this union.Last week I spent two days in the Decatur Archives and found no information on the second marriage other than the marriage date of Joel's second marriage.
I have a record of Edward A. Brumlow, patriarch of the Brumbelow(e)s from Richmond County, VA starting in 1704.Any information before that would be greatly appreciated. Also in Pioneers and Cavileers multi volumes several indications of Brumlows in mid 1600s.Although multiple entrees for the same name, transporters got 50 acers per head, often several transporters would report the same names so as to get more land.My email is [email protected]
