My great great gpa Joseph moved to the US from Switzerland and settled in Zoar (a German speaking community). He didnt know a word of English. My great grandmother said that when he came to the US, he didnt know the difference between "e" and "i," so the name changed to Bruhen. He moved to Crawford Co OH, m. Anna Martin and d. 2/9/1947. They had one child, Josephine.
