Hi All,

I don't know if this has already been posted (can't locate anything), but I located this while researching the ROBERTSON Family;

Inscriptions on Broyles Monument little old Cemetery called Mt. Cumberland near Dalton, GA

Mother
Lucinda Nash Broyles widow of Maj. Cain Broyles, deceased
born 8/10/1790
died 10/9/1868
son
Walter L. Broyles
born 7/25/1832
died a Confederate soldier Lunchburge VA 11/13/1862
son
Marcellus F. Broyles Confederate soldier born 7/13/1837
fell at the Battle of the Wilderness 5/6/1864

Inscription on the Tomb of Maj. Cain Broyles in Shady Grove Churchyard, Calhoun, South Carolina

Errected by his children to the memory their father;
born 1/12/1788
died 4/20/1864
Source:
Early TN Settlers, CD511, Tombstone Inscriptions

The BROYLES line is a distant connection to my husband's GAUNT/CORBIN Family in Culpeper Co., VA. The BROYLES also have a ROBERTSON/ROBINSON connection in TN.
