I have just started in on my family tree with information passed through my family, and have a "Broken Link" between Allen Thomas Broyles b.1806 married to Elizabeth Williams b.1816.
In the information I got from my family:
"It is not definately known at this time which son of Peter is the father of Allen T Broyles. There seem to be two possibilities, it could be either Zacharias or Solomon. Both had second marriages. Allen Broyles and Elizabeth Williams were married February 15, 1836."
I also show Elizabeth Broyles b 1787 married to a Robert Raines Apr 18, 1807.
"She is not listed in Peter's will although a Betsy Raines is mentioned but not as a daughter. Perhaps she was a granddaughter. Three Children."
Your Allen T being born out of wedlock makes the most sense yet. In all the searching I've done, I cannot place Allen T in either Zacharias, or Solomons families.
Anybody else have anything?
