From a biography of Oziah Bronson (Brownson) at
http://worldconnect.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=whsargent&id=I961

Colonel Oziah Bronson (1742-1810) had several tours of duty in the Revolutionary War.
He was described as "a professor of religion,
somewhat fierce and overbearing, industrious and thrifty, abounding in horses. He had ... six sons (who) were of gigantic strength, and the Colonel worked the five oldest to a great profit."
