Seeking information on Phebe Brownson, born circa 1798. Appears on the 1850 Census, King's County, New York, as part of the family of Mr. and Mrs. John and Caroline Brownson. John is son of Joel Brownson (VT, CT). Caroline is Caroline Stelle, born LA. On census John is 61 years old; Phebe is 58. John Brownson had no sisters named Phebe; I cannot find any cousins either. Don't know if Phebe was nee Brownson or a widow or a visiting relative. She lists her birthplace as VT. Do you know this Phebe? Please respond email btb04@hotmail.com; put Phebe Brownson in subject.
