Not sure if this is the family you speak of but
while searching I found an excerpt from the
published ancestry of Alfred Brunson/Brownson/Bronson on the Brunson genforum which you should be able to bring up with search term, Alfred or Ira.
In essence, it has Asa or Ashael Brunson/Brownson as son of Lt. Charles Brunson who married thrice.
Asa's sibling were Thankful, Theodosia, Sarah, Elnathan, Polly, Ira, and Charity.
