Could any of your Brownsons be the children of John Milton Brownson (1836-1906)and his wife Caroline McDow Brownson (1846-1932)of Victoria, TX? John Milton Brownson was a prominent banker and adopted two children about 1880. One of the children was John McDow Brownson, who moved to Brooklyn, NY, and became a banker. I do not know the name of the sister, but she may have been a Caroline Brownson. If you think there may be a connection, please let me know.
Dorothy
