I have been to Ireland twice and as of yet have not found this James who married Kate. The NC Brownlow's appear to have been Quakers in the Lurgan area of County Armagh. I would encourage you not to accept anything as fact that cannot be backed up with documentation. Ms. Helmholtz work has been found to be full of errors and should NOT be taken as gospel. My Line is also a branch of this NC family who entered this country through SC in 1767.
Again, I cannot stress strongly enough...ask for the documentation behind what people give you...otherwise, use that information as a guide only until the points you have are proven. Thanks, Bette Brownlow
