I dont have much on Mary Browning othere then what I gave you BUT after Mary died May 7, 1863 Limestone Co, Al ...HER husband Jesse J Coffman remarried in 1865. Jesse J Coffman married Martha Browning Jan 2, 1865 Giles Co, Tn. Browning is NOT Martha s miaden name, she was a widow of John Browning...I have her maiden name but have to lok it up. I believe Martha and John had a daughter Elizabeth and I KNOW for a fact the Coffman s did travel between Giles Co., Tn and Limestone Co, Al a great deal. I sent for Houston Browning s Civil war record and pention, I was hopeing it would lead me to MY Mary. I dont want to jump the gun I just want MY Mary s fmily......IF indeed this is MY Mary s family.......Then Mary s mother being Mary McKinney.......Houston Browning married an Alice McKinny.....his pention record will have exact ate etc. If the dates are correct and Mary Browning married Jesse J Coffman Mar 1835, she was just 12 years old, not 13 until June.......Have you accesse to Giles Co., Tn records where they SUSPOSELY married. At such a young at surely her father had to give consent...but keep in mind Jesse was only 3 years older. Any way, I at lest hopeful. I have to re check my data but I think some of the girls names in the first Browning marriage is also in Mary and Jesse s childern name s. I have to recheck and be very sure, dont want to jump the gun but it s looking promseing . Will write as soon as I re check. Take Care, Miss Robin
