Hi Naseemah, Its nice to hear from you again. I will try to find what I can for Lovie. I have found what I could on census info for Thomas and Lovie Freeman and then for the Browning family of Young and Rose. Are you sure that Young and Rose are the parents of the Lovie married to Thomas Freeman though.?? I ask because of other info I have found which I will explain below. This other info would give her different parents. 1930 LOWRANCE, MURRAY, OK FREEMAN Thomas C., age 43, white, married age age 27, farm operator, general farm, born TX both parents born United States Lovie, wife, age 32,race blurred out, married at age 18, - for place of birth it had Oklahoma which has line through it and over it is says U.S. Indian, for father it says Chickasaw which has line through it and over it is written Half Blood, from mother it says Half Breed with Chickisaw Annie, daughter, age 16,white, born OK father born TX mother born OK Afra, daughter, age 14, white, born OK, father born TX mother born OK Tommie, daughter, age 12, white, born OK father born TX mother born OK Stephen, son, age 3-11/12, white, born OK father born TX mother born OK ************************************************** 1920 LOWRANCE, MURRAY, OK FREEMAN Thomas C., age 35, white, farm operator, far, born TX father born , father born AR mother born TX Lovey A., wife, age 23, white, born OK father born TX mother born OK Annie, daughter, age 6-6/12, white, born OK father born TX mother born OK Afra, daughter, age 4-6/12,white, born OK father born TX mother born OK Tommie, daughter, age 2-7/12, white, born OK, both parents born OK ************************************************ 1900 MALVERN, HOT SPRING, ARKANSAS BROWNING Young, age about 47, black, married 21 years, farm laborer, born AR both parents born GA Rose A., wife, age 39, black, born May 1861, married 21 years, 10 children born, 8 living, born SC, both parents born SC Robert, son, age 18, black, born Sept. 1881,hotel porter, born AR father born AR mother born SC Mary, daughter, age 17, black born Dec 1882, cook, born AR father born AR mother born SC Alice, daughter, age 14, black, born June 1885, cook, born AR father born AR mother born SC Cora, daughter, age 13, black, born July 1886, born AR father born AR mother born SC Snair, (in index as Snoie) daughter, age 9, black, born Dec. 1890, born AR father born AR mother born SC Lovie, daughter, age 8, black, born Feb. 1892, born AR father born AR mother born SC Tommie, son, age 5, black, born Sept. 1894, born AR father born AR mother born SC Willie H., son, age 4, black, born April 1896, born AR father born AR mother born SC ************************************* 1880 CADDO, CLARK, AR BROWNING Young, age 23, black, farmer, born AR parents born unknown Rose Ann, age 21, black, born SC both parents born SC John R., son, age 2, black, born AR father born AR mother born SC ************************* I have not been able to find the Browning family in 1910 Arkansas or Oklahoma or anywhere else. I have not been able to find a marriage for Lovey/Lovie and Thomas ** this next info is what has made me wonder about the Lovie married to Thomas Freeman. The following family seems to fit much better with the census info on Lovie with Thomas. U.S. NATIVE AMERICAN ENROLLMENT CARDS FOR THE FIVE CIVILLIZED TRIBES 1898-1914 Sept. 25, 1902 BROWNING Lovie Ann, age 6, female - Chickasaw by blood Josiah, age 11, male Albert, age 8, male Bula B., age 1, female ** these were all on same page so I thought I would give you all of them in case they end up being relations. It doesn't give the place they were living at the time of enrollment. It also doesn't say if these kids are all of the same family. I did find another 1900 census with a Lovie Browning and family in Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory Here is what it shows. 1900 CHICKASAW NATION, INDIAN TERRITORY BROWNING Samuel, age 42, white, born Feb. 1858, married 10 years, born TX both parents born KY Anna, wife, age 33, Indian, born 1867 (no month shown) married 10 years, 5 children born 4 living, born Indian Terr. , father born U.S mother born MS Etta, daughter, age 19, white, born Jan. 1881, born TX father born TX mother born MO Stene, (indexed as Blane) daughter, age 16, white, born Nov. 1883, born TX father born TX mother born MO Jane, (indexed as Lena) daughter, age 14, white, born March 1886, born TX father born TX mother born MO Josiah, son, age 8/9 , Indian, born Dec. 1891, born Indian Terr. father born TX mother born Indian Terr. Albert, son, age 5, Indian, born June 1894, born Indian Terr. father born TX mother born Indian Terr. Lovie, daughter, age 3/4 , Indian, born July 1896, born Indian Terr., father born TX mother born Indian Terr. William H., son, age 3/12, Indian, born May 1900, born Indian Terr. father born TX mother born Indian Terr. ********************************** So Lovie, Josiah and Albert from Enrollment all match with this family. Bula B. would not have been born in time to be in 1900 census. ** this census info matches with what is shown for Lovie in 1930 as born OK and as U.S. Indian 1910 MILL CREEK WARD 2, JOHNSTON, OK BROWNING Samuel W., white, age 52, 2nd marriage, married 6 years, proprietor, livery barn, born TX , both parents born KY Dora E., wife, white, age 24, 2nd marriage, married 6 years, 2 children born 0 living, born OK both parents born TX Cora E., daughter, white, age 30, single, born TX father born TX mother born NE Joe S., son, Indian, age 18, single, born OK father born TX mother born OK Albert W., son, Indian, age 15, born OK father born TX mother born OK Lovie A., daughter, Indian, age 13, born OK father born TX mother born OK Bula B., daughter, Indian, age 8, born OK, father born TX mother born OK WADE William M. white, age 48, father-in-law, born TX both parents born KY, 2nd marraige, married 18 years, mason, stone ** so now we have Bula so this is definitely the family of children in the Indian Enrollment index. Mother Anna must have died after 1900 and before 1904 when Samuel remarried. Samuel should show marriage as 3rd not 2nd though. ** so what do you think? Do you have absolute proof that Lovie's parents were Young and Rosie or could it be Samuel and Anna? I found a family tree on ancestry that shows Samuel married 3 times 1. Lovie glove Young - Jan 1, 1879, Cooke, TX 2. Annie Roberson - 1890 3. Dora E. Wade - April 5, 1904 Mill Creek, Johnson, OK They show Annie dying 1902 Indian City, Payne OK They show all the children but no spouses for them which is too bad. ******* I found a site at http://www.okgenweb.org/~okmurray/Murray/mumarriages/marriages_index.htm and checked the marriages for Murray County OK as that is where Lovie and Thomas were and here are the marriages for Lovie and 2 siblings FREEMAN T.C. 26 Mill Creek, BROWNING, Lovie Anne 16 Mill Creek Sept 30, 1911 So I looked for other Brownings of same area and found THORNTON G.P., 41, Mill Creek BROWNING Etta 34, Mill Creek - no journal entry which I guess means no date shown BROWNING Joe, 28 Mill Creek, DAVIS Vernon, 19 Mill Creek March 2, 1913 The names Etta, and Joe match with names of Lovie's siblings (children of Samuel) The site says that you can send for the marriage record and most contain the names of both parents so that would be conclusive evidence as to parents of Lovie, wife of Thomas Freeman. Here is another site to check out http://www.okgenweb.org/~okgarvin/kinard/chicmarriageindex.htm Here I found marriage: BROWNING, S W 46 WADE, DORA 19 5 APR 1904 MILL CREEK Hİ121 **************************** Well, this is all for now. Please let me know where you got the parents o Lovie from and if you are sure they are right as everything I'm finding seems to lean more toward Samuel and Anna.
