Naseemah,
Me again - I found a bit more. This is Ellen Hines (wife of Henry) with her family in 1880.
In Joseph Higgs death certificate it shows father as Henry Higgs and mother as Ellen Hines so I figured that was a confirmation of the earlier census for 1900.

1800 BUTTERWOOD - HALIFAX, NC
HINES
Caroline, farmer, married, mulatto, age 40 born NC father born NC mother born NC

Ellen, daughter, age 13, farm labor, black, born NC father born NC mother born NC

William, son age 12, farm labor, black, born NC father born NC mother born NC

Linsey, son age 8 , at home, black, born NC father born NC mother born NC

Benjamin, son, age 6 at home, black, born NC father born NC mother born NC

Charles, son age 5, at home, black, born NC father born NC mother born NC

Fanny, daughter, age 4, at home, black, born NC father born NC mother born NC

** Caroline is shown as married, not widowed so her husband must be somewhere but without his name I don't know how to find him.

** this explains Henry & Ellen's son Lindsey's name.

This next is census with Willis Coley and his parents.

1900 BRINKLEYVILLE, KNIGHTS STONE, HALIFAX, NC

Willis, son age 3, born Sept. 1896

Samuel, son age 4/12, born Jan. 1900

** all are shown born NC with father born NC mother born NC

I couldn't find Ellen in 1870 census. I looked for her mother Caroline and brother William too but nothing so have no idea how they were indexed I tried with first names only too. I was hoping to find Ellen's father's name for you.

I wasn't sure how far you wanted to go with finding family but am including census for Anna Arrington (mother of Willis Coley)
