Naseemah (what a great name by the way!)
I found just a little bit for you.
1920 ST. LOUIS, ST. LOUIS, MO
Dave, janitor, apt. age 42, born AR both parents born AR
Alice, wife, age 36, born AR both parents born AR
Mable, daughter, age 1-4/12 born MO both parents born AR
I couldn't find Alice, Mabel, Sam or David in 1930. You said your Dad left St.Louis when he was about 17 so they should be there in 1930 census.
I have tried them just under first names and approx. year of birth in case Alice remarried. If she did remarry it is possible the kids were listed under her new husband's name but I didn't find a thing.
As to Mary being called Maggie - she is in the one census as Mary and another as Maggie so maybe Mary was first name and Margaret/Maggie middle??
Could Alice have gone under any other name than Alice? Did she have a middle name?
I have tried to find her in earlier census as Browning but not much luck with that either. Are you sure that was her maiden name? Do you know names of siblings or parents......or I guess that's what your hoping to find out :)
Could she have been married before she married Dave and could Browning be her first married name?
If Browning is her maiden name then she should be i 1900 and 1910 census somehwere.
I'm just asking all these questions because I'm trying to think of all ways of finding her.
I also didn't put in race as I thought maybe for some reason they got listed as white instead of black but that didn't work either.
So, I'm sorry to say I cannot find your Dad and siblings in 1930.
I also cannot find Alice earlier. Maybe I'll just try putting in Browning and approximate year of birth and see who comes up.
From the 1920 census Alice should have been born about 1884.
Did you want earlier census records for David Graham son of Fannie LaMay?
Let me know.
