I found some info on an A.H. Browning which may be yours. Do you know if he left OH? This fellow went to IA and then on to WI.

** so it seems Alexander remarried - I am assuming Amanda died?
** it is odd that they would not know where the mother of the two grandchildren was born assuming the mother was Viola
But I suppose the grandchildren could be children of a son of Phebe from an earlier marriage of hers in which case she might not know where her daughter-in-law had been born??
So I looked for a marriage between Alexander and Phebe and found in Wisconsin marriages.
A.H. BROWNING married July 7, 1861 Pepin County WI
it does not show wife so I looked for all marriages that date in Pepin Co.
The only other name that shows up is PHEBE SIBLEY so there is the connection.
Odd though - I also checked for marriage of Jesse Browning and found him listed as married Feb. 22, 1873 in Dunn County. When I tried to find a wife for him by searching date only the only name that comes up under that date is Jessee(spelling in index). He had to marry someone named Mary but she is not listed??

That is all I have right ow but I am looking to see if I can find more on Thomas and Sarah for you.
