Missy, Thank you for the information about Solomon Browning and John O. Browning. I don't have the 1880 census that you referred but have the earlier ones. Do you know what or when Solomon died or Jael Ellis. I found the other two sons Caleb P. and William J. Browning in Saint Clair, Alabama. They both were married and died in the Civil War. My other question is on one of the census Solomon Browning states he is from Maryland and on another he is listed from Virginia. Do you know which one is correct? Let me know if you have any more info. Thanks Suellen Browning Dennis
