With as many of us out there, who are researching Brownings. And have read and posted on every board I can, like the rest of you. Surely some of these lines would connect sooner or later. There are 5 of us working on our specif. line, at a total of app. 25+ yeas to no luck of getting any farthur than our gr,gr,grandfather. I have even looked all thru Capt. John Brownings line, in E.F.Brownings book. And have read alot of diff. lines people out there are looking for, and cannot connect the dots, so to speak. I have 2 different Brownings that tie to our line, and am hopeing someone will have some info. at some point. I have: Maryand/Mary Ann Browning married to, Samuel David Smith. I have this line forward, but do not know who her parents are or where they came from. Mary Ann Browning, Smith born:Mar.12,1822, died:Dec.02,1911 Louisiana. The other line is Browning/Smith line as well.(Havent tied them together, "IF" they fit). I have Reubin Browning married: Mary T. Smith, Sept.02,1856 Jasper co. Texas. They had 4 sons. Robert, Marshall, Reubin, and Frank. Mary T. Smith, Browning was born:Sept.18,1830 Miss. died:Feb.14,1893 Louisiana. She 2nd. married: Thomas Mizell/Mysel. They had 2 more children, a son, and a daughter. I have Reubin, the father in Jasper co. Texas on court mins. and in the civil war, Spaights div. Any help would be of great help. Thank you. Lynn Browning...
