Theron Brownfield was a son of Edward Brownfield and his wife Mary. Edward Brownfield was a son of “Old” Charles Brownfield and Betsy Bird. “Old” Charles was the son of Robert Brownfield and his wife Jean, Jen, or Jon. Robert died in 1738.

Theron Edward Brownfield, b. about 1788, d. before 1843, Little Rock, AR married Susannah Murry, 11 Jan 1808, Green County, KY.
4 children; Theron Edward, Salina, Newton H., and Susan Serena. 3-Step-children-a 2nd marriage?-the family chart is difficult to read.

Charles Brownfield to George Brownfield, shares of the following heirs mentioned: Harriet Brownfield; Hays Brownfield; Patton Brownfield; Robert Brownfield; Simpson Brownfield; Jane Brownfield; Sarah Brownfield; Ann Brownfield; Theron Brownfield-Page 384, Book 1817-1835.

There is also mention in a Will Book for Charles Brownfield, “land willed to me by my father, Charles Brownfield”; mentions “other heirs.”

Green County, KY and Larue County, KY border each other.

1816 Monroe County, IL, Taxpayers. Among the 269 people subject to taxes, including 47 unmarried men over age 21 who had to each pay a tax of $1.00 for being single, were Charles and Theron Brownfield. No indication about their marital state.

Theron Brownfield bought land in Monroe and St. Clair Co., IL on 09/09/1814. 160 acres in Monroe and 169.77 acres in St. Clair. He bought 80 acres in Monroe Co. on 12/16/1817.
