This what I have on the Brownfields that went to southwestern PA, Pendleton and Harrison Counties, KY and Champaign Co., IL and some of the descendants.
1. John Brownfield Sr. married Mary Lewis, (daughter of Harry Lewis and
Abigail) John died Ca. 1751, Marple Twp., Chester Co., Pa..THE
DESCENDANTS OF JOHN BROWNFIELD AND MARY LEWIS WORRELL The first evidence of
this line of Brownfields in America is the record of John buying 45 and 1/2
acres at Newton Square (then Townstead, Newton Township) on March 5, 1718,
in Chester County, Pennsylvania. This is now Delaware County in the same
state. The property was about 15 miles west of Philadelphia on the road to
West Chester. Next John and his new wife, the widow Mary Lewis Worrell, are
recorded as opening a tavern 25 miles due northwest of Philadelphia. He was
taxed there from 1728 to 1739 inclusive. In 1739 he was taxed as John
Brownfield, Sr. John could have been the son or the brother of Robert
Brownfield of Londonderry Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, who left
but one record to prove that he ever lived there, the administration of his
estate. Robert died in September of 1738, leaving a wife Jon (Joan?). Two
sons, Charles and Robert, assisted in the settlement of the estate, and
according to earlier historians and several traditions, there was also a
younger son, named John Brownfield. Maybe the term younger implied the
first or oldest.Mary: Mary was the widow of John
Worrell when she married John Brownfield. She was the widow Mary Lewis
Worrell.

Brownfield and Thurza Ann Barkshire were first cousins and were
raised in the same family after Thurza's mother and stepfather
died. She may have been in the James and Mary Ann Conway family
even before that. The story is that they wanted to marry even
sooner than they did, but their marrage was forbidden by James
Brownfield. After he died they married. Thurza: Thurza
Barkshire (or Berkshire) like her sister, was born after
Greenberry Sr. died. Thurza and her brother, Greenberry
Barkshire Jr., were raised by other relatives. Malinda
Berkshire was raised by her mother and adoptive? father until
they died. It isn't easy to determine who raised Thurza,
Greenberry Jr., and Malinda, and for that matter Taylor Barton
and Mary's children. Greenberry Jr. was indentured when young
and later was with Berkshire family members. Malinda and Thurza
seem to have lived with James and Mary Conway Brownfield.

Harrison Co., Kentucky, Marriage Bond, Bond of Taylor Barton and James
Brownfield, for Taylor Barton to marry Polly Barkshear. James Brownfield
is the brother of Mary (Polly) Brownfield Berkshire, the Polly Barkshear
named in the bond. Polly is Greenberry Berkshires Sr.'s widow. Greenberry
died about seven years earlier and she now has three children, only
Greenberry Jr., could be his. Mary died at the birth of her son, John
"Rush" Barton Ca. 1830 or shortly after. Greensberry: Dickie, Johnse, and
Anson Berkshire came from England. Johnse was the father Greenberry, Sr.
Johnse was made guardian of Greenberry, Jr. in 1827. Later Johnse became
senile and Greenberry, Jr. was apprenticed to Garrett Berkshire, son of
Dickie Berkshire. Greenberry Berkshire, Sr., was first married to Maxine
