I have a Homer Richard BROWNELL b 05 Mar 1884 in MI.He married twice.1) Vina M UNKOWNb 1889 MI .They are found in 1910 census living in Solon, Leelanau MI.In 1917 Homer Richard BROWNELL registers for the draft in Gogebic, MI.Also they are in Gogebic in 1920 census--no children listedthen by 1930 Homer has his second wife: 2) Gertrude Unkown b abt 1887 MI.They are found on 1930 census in Interior, Ontogonon, MI
Names of children on 1930 census seem close to your list.
I believe that Homer R BROWNELL is the son of William H BROWNELLb Jul 1856 in Ashtabula Co OH and Jane COBB b Apr 1866 WI.William H BROWNELL was theson of Courtland BROWNELL b 1828 NY and Hannah SPENCER b abt 1829 NY.Courtland BROWNELL was the son of Jonathan BROWNELL and Azubah HICKS/HIX.I am descended from Courtland's sister, Julia Ann BROWNELL.I really hadn't done much to resarch Julia's siblings until recently.
I have more on the BROWNELL and SPENCER family. If this is of interest to you, please contact me.
