James Browne married Margaret McNicholas 1871 in the church of the Holy Family, Kiltimagh, Co Mayo. James's father was Michael Browne - Landowner, Margaret's Father Michael also a Landowner. In the 1901 Census James was living with his family in cloongelawn, Kilconduff. Children: Thomas, Pat, Mary, James & Katie. James had a brother Thomas also living with his wife Catherine & family in Cloongelawn. Children: Dilia, James, Thomas and Mary k. Walsh (gd). Any information relating to these Brownes would be welcomed.
