Hello everyone,
I am trying to find a trace of my dad or his father.
My dad is James A. Browne, the A is Arthur, Allan/Alan/Allen. His birthdate is September 3,1927 in Chicago, Illinois (I think).
His mother was Marie Grant, born April 29,1905 to James Edward Grant of Chicago, IL and Johanna Cecilia Falahee formerly of Fort Wayne, IN.
As for his father, Laverne Browne, I don't know anything about him. All that I know is that Marie and Laverne divorced when my father was about a year old.
My dad was in the Army and served in the Korean war. He was stationed in Germany, Georgia and California. He was also posted in other places, but I don't know those locations.
Daddy was also married a couple of times before he married my mother. I was found by my older sister's foster daughter a year ago. He wrote my sister Marie Elizabeth in 1969 and told her that he had been married a couple of times since her mother but they hadn't worked out. Didn't mention a word about me and my brothers. So there may be more Browne siblings out there, who knows??
