This is a long shot, but I wondered if anyone could help with this family.
Thomas Brown(e), son of John and Jane Browne, married Jane Landrum. They and their daughter Catherine, born c.1861 moved from Ireland to Troon, Scotland sometime between 1861-1887.
I would love to know where in Ireland they were from. Scottish census data simply states place of birth as Ireland. My best guess is that they were Ulster Scots as Catherine married into a Protestant family and Landrum is a Scottish surname.
Hopefully someone might recognise the names?
