The Lost Colony of Roanoke Island

Hello Browne Families !
My name is Anne Poole and I am a researcher with The Lost Colony Center for Science and Research in North Carolina. We are very interested in the Browne surname as it was the name of two of the colonists who came to Roanoke Island in 1587. For years, history said that none of these colonists survived, and had been killed by the Indians or Spanish. Today, we know otherwise. In September, we are beginning a major dna project to attempt to identify living descendants of these colonists. If you have family history that hints of Croatan Indians in NC and perhaps your early ancestor being Henry or William Browne, we would very much like to talk with you. Please visit our website at lost-colony.com for more info or contact me at croatan@peoplepc.com You may be an answer to America's greatest mystery.....what happened to The Lost Colony of Roanoke Island !

Anne
