Abigail (Custer) and Alexander Brown also moved to Highland Co., OH:
Highland County Courthouse, Hillsboro, Ohio, Deed Record Book 16, Page 481: Excerpts: 1 Jan 1850.....William A. Custer of County of Fayette and State of Pennsylvania sells to Alexander Brown of the County of Highland...for $125....land in Highland Co.....part of Joseph Kerrs Survey No. 7020. Witnessed Daniel Smith, J.P. & Isaiah Custer and signed by W.A. Custer and Isabella L. Custer
They purchased the land from Abigail’s brother William A. Custer. In the 1850 Census Abigail and Alexander were living in Highland Co., Oh on land adjoining on one side with another of Joseph’s son’s, Abigail’s brother, Jonathan and his wife Rachael and on the other side her 1st cousin, John L., Jonathan and Rachael’s son.
Does anyone have information on this family in Highland Co.
