I am looking for any information on my GReat Grandfather, Charles F Brown, Nick named "Broad Axe Brown" when he ran a paper in Crookston MN for a shot time - He was married to MAry Lettie Baker - In the paper, the name Brown appears w/ out the "e", but it was added after the fact or dropped while publishing the paper as my maiden name is BROWNE- He did serve & was taken prisoner during the civil war, but have no idea where or when he was boen - Any information would be very helpful - I can be contacted at mo356_42@msn.com
