James Brown married as his second wife an Elizabeth Adams (in 1803). James was apparently a son of the Burwell Brown who left his Will in Charlotte Co., VA in 1802 (and Burwell Brown was apparently a son of a William Brown who lived in Prince George Co., VA). I have some reasons to suspect that James and Elizabeth (Adams) Brown were the parents of both the Elizabeth Brown who married John Davidson in 1819, and the Dorothea L. Brown who married a Thomas Cook in 1821. Does anyone have any information that would support or refute the above?
Before the above marriages in 1819 and 1821, Elizabeth Brown and Dorothea L. Brown were wards of Charles Anderson Raine/Raines. Charles had earlier been involved with a land sale/purchase with a Richard Brown and a Russell Brown. It appears that this Richard Brown (at least) was a son of a Henry Brown and his Gaines wife, and a grandson of a William Brown who left his Will over in Campbell Co., VA in 1802. I wonder if this suggests a "connection" between that William Brown in Campbell Co., VA and the Burwell Brown who left his Will in Charlotte Co., VA in 1802. If anyone has an information on the above Brown families, please let me know.
