This is all so interesting...I am seeing a pattern with the repeated names in the family such as Isham..yours makes 3 in our group now...and I am thinking the Isham found in Prince George could be ours as well?.The George name is repeated alot...notice on our group list that the oldest known Brown is George Brown(e)b. 1644,England. This George Brown married in New Jersey to Mercy Wright b. England. George d. 1726, Falls, Bucks co. PA.
I wonder if there is a Will in PA. for this eldest George Brown that might tell who his children were...got a feeling that George may have had siblings arrive to the U.S with him or around the same time.Your Isham Brown could have been the age to be this George Brown(e) son, nephew, or cousin.
Somehow we connect to the same grandfather and I was hoping for the eldest George Brown on our list or mabe if he had brothers , to have a connection to one of them. I have had a tough time going backwards on my Isham , so I am starting to wonder if starting with the oldest on our list and then moving down may be productive.
The Burrell Brown you speak of has come across my research so many times and I have never been able to find a connection to our Browns, but mabe there is and we will find one as more matches come in.
I know from researching my Isham Brown b. ca.1796, NC or VA., and finding him in Wythe and Smyth co. of Va. , I find him to be almost alone...just recently with help from one of our group members , found out about the Randolph Brown in Wythe co. census in 1810. Land records reveal Randolph being there around 1805
It seems there may be alot of our Browns in Va. like you mentioned and the help of YDNA reveals this and hopefully sort through this.
Your Isham Brown b. ca. 1749 is found livig fairly close(Buckingham co. Va) to our (Rockbridge co. VA.) Browns, the Booker Brown line. Booker Sr.must have been born ca. 1765(guess).
Our Thomas(Tommie) Brown b.ca. 1773 in (Fincastle or Botetourt co Va.), Thomas father was thought to be John James Brown who married a Little?.
Then last we have my Isham Brown b. 1796 NC or VA, living in Wythe and SMyth co.VA...which is real close to the old Fincastle co./Botetourt and Rockbridge counties, and now finding that some of the Surry co.NC Brown's (Randolph and wife Phoebe) migrated to Wythe co. as early as 1805.
Interesting the Thomas Brown line mirgrated to the Jackson co.TN and your Isham Brown migrated to TN as well.Im thinking that our Samuel Brown line on the list migrated from Surry co. NC to the TN area too.
Hopefully this will all come together one of these days..YDNA is great!
