Glenda,
I have only cirumstantial evidence that this Burwell Brown was the son of Noah and grandson of John. It is based on the association between this family group of Browns (Noah's brother Jesse, in particular) with Paul Carrington in Cornwall Parish of Lunenburg, and with Burwell's association with Carrington after the formation of Charlotte County.
So, as you can see, I do not have definitive proof, and must confess that when making the post you replied to, I had completely forgotten about the Burwell Brown who was the son of William and Elizabeth (and must now fall on my sword). I know nothing about them and am curious to know how or if they tie in.
I would really like to hear what you know about this group of Lunenburg Browns that Richard, Manoah, Jesse, John and Valentine belong to. For a number of years I have been trying to determine whether or not they are connected to my line of Browns (DNA Group No. 69) that came out of Henrico/Chesterfield, and spread out into Amelia, Prince Edward, Charlotte and Bedford. Although it seems they all knew a lot of the same people and shared some given names, I've never been able to rule them in or out. If you would like to compare notes please contact me by email.
Justin.
