Jesse Brown (1733) up to Nicholas Brown (1601)
Here's what I have so far...
Nicholas Brown (1601) m. Elizabeth Leids(1605) in 1624- They have a son
Thomas Brown, Sr. (1628) m. Mary Newhall (1637) in 1653- They have a son
Thomas Brown, Jr. (1654) m. Hannah Collins in 1676- They have a son
Thomas Brown III (1692) m. Deborah Holdredge in 1715- They have a son
Jesse Brown, Sr. (1731) m. Hannah Leeds in 1752- They have a son
Jesse Brown III (1773) m. Mason Hardaway
I'm trying to go from Jesse Brown III back to when the Brown's first came to America. For some reason things get confusing around the Thomas Brown's. I've come across many conflicting dates, places, and even children. Has anyone done this section/branch yet?
I thought possibly the family came over:
1. On the Mayflower (Peter Brown signed the Compact)
2. to Jamestown in 1607ish (there were Browne's listed)
3. with the Winthrop Fleet (1630s)
4. Or they just came later than the Mayflower
Ideas?
Thanks!
