Rhode Island Browns to Saratoga Co NY
Looking for any information on the family of Benjamin Brown, b. RI, 1771, son of Obadiah & Amey (Waterman) Brown [this is the Chad Brown line]. Benjamin m. 1792/3, Hulda Winsor (b. Johnston, RI, 9 Aug 1771, dau. of Rev. Samuel & Anne (Winsor) Windsor. They moved to Saratoga County NY. Benjamin d. in Wilton, NY, 30 Aug., 1848 (age 77 yrs 2 mos 3 days). He was buried in the Jessup's Landing Cemetery" and later oved to the Corinth Rural cemetery. His widow Huldah d. 23 Feb. 1860 (age 88 yrs 6 mos 14 days). She is buried next to Ben.
They had at least the following children:
1. William, b. RI, 1797. He m -- Hannah ---. I foud the in the 1850 census of Milton, NY. They had children: Susan, Jarusha, Mary, Kate, and Marcy)
2. Winsor, b. Corinth, NY, 1800. He m -- Sabrina ----- (b. NY, 1803). He d. in Corinth, NY, 25 April, 1846 (age 45 yrs 6 mos 17 days). Sabrina d. 16 Aug 1852 (age 48. Don't know the name of their kids. can't find him in census.
3. Halsa (a.ka. Halsey) b. ca. 1802.He d. 4 Jan., 1889 (age 86 yrs, 9 mos).
4. Isaac, b. 1801. He m. Lucy---- (b. 1805). He was a shoemaker and living in Corinth, NY in 1850. He had children there named Truman (b. 1828) Clarissa (b. 1834) and Sarah (b. 1836). There must have been others.
5. Anna, b. 1806
6. Lydia, b. 1808. She m. Luther French of Wilton, NH.
Does anyone have any information on these folks? I have many old letters from this family to the Calvin French Family in Cavendish (Windsor Co) Vt. and I am trying to figure them all out.
