Sampler of Phebe Brown born 1788 New England

I purchased a old sampler at an antique store several years ago. It is a lovely country scene straight out of George Washington's time. There is a country home, animals, a hay stack, and several people. The wording is:

"All you my friends that now expect to see".
"A piece of work thus performed by me".
"Call but a smile in this my mean endeavour".
"I'll strive to mend and be obedient ever"

Phoebe Brown finished this work April 6, 1804. At Mrs. Ventham's boarding School Wanton in her 16th year.

I would love to find information on this Phoebe Brown's life. I have had a couple of experts look at it. It is from New England. Does anyone know of a place called Wanton? A Boarding School, named "Mrs Ventham's School" ? Is anyone connected to the Ventham family of New England. Just any information would be appreciated. A relative of Phoebe Brown would be wonderful.
