I'm hoping a Brown descendant might be of help here:

Caroline Lewis Pease; b. Oct 25, 1855 in Salem; m. Oct 19, 1881 by clergyman Hugh Elder to Frank Appleton Brown; b. Jul 17, 1853 in Salem. He was the son of Francis Brown; b. Aug 15, 1815 in Salem; d. Nov 15, 1880, and Ellen M. Appleton; b. May 1816 in Salem; d. Jun 07, 1887 from Brights Disease in Salem. Francis and Ellen were married Mar 05, 1839 in Salem. Frank was the treasurer of a Lead Company when he married Caroline. Children of Frank Appleton and Caroline Lewis (Pease) Brown born in Salem, MA:
1 Francis Brown b. Oct 05, 1882
2 Edith Doane Brown b. Dec 15, 1887
3 Caroline Appleton Brown b. Apr 16, 1889

Caroline was the daughter of George W.Pease; b. Apr 06, 1814; d. Oct 06, 1890 from cancer of the liver in Salem and Caroline Loring; b. Mar 01, 1822 in Salem; d. Feb 25, 1888 from heart disease in Salem. George was a newspaper editor for the Salem Observer after completing his apprenticeship Jan 07, 1837. The firm was known as Pease and Ives.

George was the son of Robert Pease; m. Dec 16, 1801 at the North Church in Salem, MA, Letitia (Latty) Clough; b. Nov 14, 1778; d. Jan 06, 1853 as a widow in Salem. She was the daughter of __etison and Lois Clough. This must be the Robert Pease who on Aug 12, 1825 at Salem, MA, was issued seaman’s protection papers certificate # 8307. His age was 44, and he was born in Salem.

Any Brown descendant out there who may have a recorded history of these people?

Rick in Taunton, MA
